As the weather changes moving into the fall season I begin to feel nostalgic for the youthful times of yesteryear. Maybe it’s simply the fact that the NIRVANA MTV Unplugged 25th Anniversary is in the reissue section this week. This has me feeling my age. Damn, I remember when it aired. I digress dear friends. Let’s look at this weeks fresh wax.

Nashville native Rayland Baxter comes in smoldering this week with Good Mmornin'. This record is a touching tribute to the late rapper Mac Miller and is a very personal project for Ray. It features close confidants along with his father Bucky (Bob Dylan, R.E.M.) backing him up on the recordings. I’ve taken it for a spin and you should be sure to check this out.

That was close. Moving on we have some great reissues this week including a few from Social Distortion, R.E.M., and Los Straitjackets. I don’t know about you but I have an eye on those sweet Van Halen Japanese Singles 1978-1984. How could you not?
